We quit our 9-5 jobs and decided to pursue our passion, which is to restore badass 4x4 classics.
We are a Latino owned company with American values. Mounir, our owner and founder moved to Palm Beach County, Florida in his early twenties. Mounir worked as an EMT and as an ICU Technician more than 15 years before starting Palm Beach Cruisers with his wife, Claudia, in 2018. Although we've been restoring classic Land Cruisers since 2015. Claudia, our owner and administrative operations manager, was raised in Palm Beach County, Florida and graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Public Administration and worked in the health-care industry. That’s actually how these two met but that’s another story.
Why Choose us?
Over the past several years importing 4x4s, especially Land Cruisers from South America has become very popular. Unfortunately, South American restorations have developed a bad rap. Many people see it as a quick and easy way to make money and end up selling vehicles that look nice on the outside but have tons of issues on the inside. Most of these importers source the vehicles in South America and outsource the restoration process to a third party without direct oversight.
Palm Beach Cruisers has a restoration facility in Colombia (you’re more than welcome to come visit us when we’re working on your vehicle), and we oversee each restoration from the sourcing stage, the entire restoration process, and the export/import stage. We’re not kidding, Mounir literally spends months in Colombia directing each restoration and personally loads up the shipping container before returning to Florida to unload the vehicle and get it titled and registered. Yes, it’s a long process and we wouldn’t do it any other way because we are passionate about what we do.
We only offer frame-off restorations, nothing less. We do our best to get each vehicle to new, from factory, condition.
How Long Does Each Restoration Take?
Each build can take anywhere from 4-6 months. We are a three-man operation, which means we only work on one restoration at a time. There any many factors that will determine how long a restoration will take but taking on more than one restoration is not one of them.
